The 2012 Pieces of Gold performance promises to be the largest ever! With over 1000 of Wake County’s public school students performing on stage from 30 different schools, this promises to be a sold out event at Memorial Auditorium.

Pieces of Gold is far more than the signature artistic event for which it has become known. It is also an acknowledgement by our schools, parents, business leaders and community that artistic expression (creativity) is an important part of academic achievement and the development of 21st century workforce skills.  Educational systems from around the world recognize the importance of “the arts” and have included these programs in their base curriculum.
